We love food
Our food philosophy
We are passionate about the local and what feels genuine! There is a rustic and genuine food history in the area and it is exciting to combine the old dishes with more modern food. The abundance of mushrooms and berries in the fall is the icing on the cake!
Food with variety
We hope to offer something for everyone - whatever time of day you visit us. Coffee, sandwiches, ice cream, starters, main courses and desserts - and there are always options for those with food preferences or allergies.

Fishing is part of our history
Coastal fishing in the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia has undergone major changes in recent years, which means that the supply of local, wild-caught fish has become almost non-existent. Over the years, we have relied heavily on Lasse here in the village and on Finap in Härnösand, they are working hard to make their businesses profitable now that the supply of fish has fallen so sharply.
In the fall of 2023, WWF red-listed Baltic herring and the Gulf of Bothnia. The herring is still red-listed around the entire Swedish coast and the northern part of the North Sea. As we cannot offer locally caught herring and as the herring has been red-listed for a reason, we have chosen to refrain from herring this year - even though the herring as a food fish has had a huge importance for the place where we live. Instead, we're trying to find other sustainable fish dishes, so some of the fish menu will be a bit more experimental - quite exciting though! We hope that the sea and the ecosystems will recover, and until then we all need to help in any way we can.
