Skutskepparn Kuststation would not be the same without our farm

Our farm is an important part of our business and parts of the menu are based on the farm supplying meat every year. By having full control over our food production, we can ensure that this particular part of the raw materials is of the highest quality.

Sustainability and quality

At Skutskepparn Kuststation we place great emphasis on sustainability and quality. We strive to be part of the solution for a more sustainable food production while offering a taste experience beyond the ordinary.

About us

Our farm is small and only supplies our own meat needs but we are proud of it. Our goal is to serve quality, locally produced food to our guests, so we also buy products from other nearby farms.

We love to cook good food and use local ingredients wherever possible.

Our fur babies

We love our animals and they are an important part of our lives and our everyday lives.

Our animals

We are proud to know how our animals have fared and that they help keep the landscape open near where we live.

Horses and chickens

We also have horses and chickens (and a rooster) that are part of our life puzzle. It is beautiful to experience the different personalities and characteristics of animals, no matter what kind of animal we are talking about. For us, it's hard to imagine life without animals.

Farming Agriculture

Farming is hard work and requires both manpower and machinery. During the summer, it's really high intensity with mowing and building pastures - but it also provides so much quality of life that it's worth it.

Family-owned businesses become a way of life

As a family business, it is important for us to be able to offer our guests food that we ourselves are proud of and that we can stand by.

Having a family farm is not only hard work, it also allows us to have a close contact with our animals and their unique personalities and characteristics.

Farming never takes a vacation, it goes on all year round - summer and winter. We have chosen to keep our animals outdoors all year round, which means they get a warm and shaggy coat when it starts to get cold - even the cows.
